Attorney L. Neicey Johnson is a registered nurse and attorney. Neicey is the founder and executive director of VSNS, Inc. (Visions), a Georgia not-for-profit personal service and mentoring organization in metro Atlanta since 2003.  Neicey is also the founder of a healthcare consulting firm and co-producer of a local public television show.  Neicey is an active participant in several community-based business boards and frequent volunteer.  Neicey obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Juris Doctor from the Birmingham School of Law.  Neicey is currently licensed to practice law and nursing in the southeast. 

Scott Hunter, a University of Alabama (UA) School of Commerce & Business Administration graduate, is partner and financial adviser of Wealth Management, Inc. Raymond James in Mobile, Alabama.  Highlights of Scott's NFL career include quarterbacking the Green Bay Packers to the 1972 Central Division Championship.  He also led the Atlanta Falcons to their first win over the Dallas Cowboys in 1976. Hunter is the former National President of the NFL Retired Players Association and a member of the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame (Emeritus) and the Mobile Sports Hall of Fame.

Derrick McCall is the receivers coach at Jackson State University.  Prior to joining JSU, he helped lead Shaw University to a CIAA Championship and a historic NCAA Division II playoff berth in just two seasons.  Derrick coached five All-Conference receivers, Harry Williams (Houston Texans), Calvin Russell (Green Bay Packers) both were selected in the NFL Draft and Kenneth Henderson (New Orleans Voodoo) Arena Football.  Derrick earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Communications with a minor in Management from Spring Hill College.

Karl Powe is a retired professional football player and a 7th round draft pick in 1985 for the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL.  In 1991, he retired due to injury and shifted his career to becoming an educator and coach in Montgomery Alabama.  Karl, an Alabama State graduate received his B.S. in 1984 his Master of Education in 2000, and his EdS in 2004. Additionally, he qualified in the 100 & 200-meter race for the 1984 Olympic trails.

Dr. Frank Benson has over 30 years experience in the practice of Medicine that includes Rural Health, Emergency Medicine, and his present specialty, Addiction Medicine. He is a native of Jackson, Mississippi. He obtained his M.D. degree from Howard University and MPH from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.  In addition to Medicine, other interests include Master Gardening, Medical Mission trips to Kenya, Africa and trail-riding,

Reggie Howard is President and Executive Director of the United Athletes Foundation (“UAF”) a  501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization. After a life-altering injury during his senior season as a collegiate football player, Reggie persevered and reached his goal of becoming an NFL player, spending five seasons with the Carolina Panthers and two seasons with the Miami Dolphins.  Reggie is a graduate of the University of Memphis where he earned a degree in Marketing/Management and received the “Outstanding Young Alumni Award”

Meet the team

Felita Cornog is a 1999 graduate of Georgia State University College of Law and owner of Comog & Associates in Atlanta. A native of Atlanta, Felita serves her community as a court appointed Guardian ad Litem representing the interest of abused and neglected children in court proceedings throughout the greater Atlanta area. Felita is active in the community through the support she provides by volunteering with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation Domestic Abuse Program and the Atlanta Legal Aid Society's Georgia Senior Legal Hotline.

Derrick Burroughs, a former professional football player and first-round draft pick of the Buffalo Bills of the NFL. In college, he made the 1st Team All-Conference and was voted the University of Memphis Defensive Player of the Year.  Derrick has spent 14 years coaching football with NFL Europe Arena and the XFL football leagues.  With five years of participation in the NFL Minority Internship Coaching program.  Derrick has been the Head Football Coach and Athletic Director at Lane College in Jackson, TN. Since 2010, he also served as assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at Jackson State University in 2014.
